Information Communication Technology

The ICT Department at Llangatwg prides itself on being a forward thinking, an 'ahead of the game' department where pupils are introduced to the latest hardware and software at the earliest possible opportunity.

The ICT department is located in two of the main school IT rooms. There are a total of 67 computers with specially configured software to deliver the courses available. A few of these are high-spec Core i7 dedicated audio and video editing computer systems.
In addition to the ICT Department, the school has more IT resources based in other subject areas and configured to suit their requirements. These include two large IT Suites (30 computers each), four smaller IT rooms (10 to 20 computers each), as well as the Library/Resource area and eight other small rooms equipped with modern IT systems (4 to 6 computers each).

Video & Audio Facilities
As well as the two main IT rooms, the ICT Department also has dedicated audio and video recording facilities with different movie backdrops (including green screen chromakey), studio lighting and a high definition video camera combined with a good quality PA sound system.
