The transition from Year 6 to Year 7 is a key time for every child. Our aim is to make it as smooth as possible by working closely with our family of primary schools, the pupils and their families throughout the year prior to transition, offering a programme of induction days and activities.

Pupils from our feeder primary schools have four transition days with us; one in Year 5 and three in Year 6. This gives the pupils the opportunity to meet staff, get to know the school and to ask any questions that they have. There are also 2 parents’ evenings throughout Year 6 where parents can come in to see the school, meet the staff and have any questions that they have answered.
